The Bright Lights to hit Thailand for New Year’s Virtual Celebration

New Year

In the spirit of social distancing and preventing the spread of COVID-19 the Amazing Thailand Countdown for 2021 has been put on hold, as it is replaced by the virtual countdown that is set to spread across the nation. The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and ICONSIAM along with other agencies have come together to hold the fireworks display set at the Chao Phraya River which functions as the backdrop for the New Year’s Celebration. This new-norm trendsetter is not only a beautiful display promised to be held for the New Year’s but also an eco-friendly event with over 25,000 eco-friendly fireworks made from Thai sticky rice set to light up the night sky on the 31st of December.

This celebration is more than just the ushering of the new year but also a sign of hope and a brighter future for this weary nation and the world which has been struck harshly by the recent pandemic. Togetherness, as the big corporations, assemble with TAT and ICONSIAM to light up the skies with its hopeful message and wishes.
