LATEST UPDATES : Thailand drafts a plan to restart the tourism industry

Shutdown of the tourism industry has caused Thailand to lose a huge portion of its tourism revenue. At the moment, incentives for domestic tourism is underway to encourage locals to travel more. This is not sufficient to uphold the tourism coffers so plans are being made to bring back foreigners into the country, starting from so called “safe” countries like China, Japan and Taiwan.
The initial plan of allocating approximately 1000 tourist into each area such as in the popular areas of Phuket, Pattaya, Chiang Mai, Koh Samui, and Krabi to start with.
