Young couples seeking escape, busy city workers enjoying the relief from pressure and tourists from all over the world come to Hua Hin, one of Thailand’s most popular beach resort towns. The surrounding area too is a draw for travellers interested in nature, wildlife, habitats, flora, fauna and even wine; the fertile land and climate have brought wine makers to Hua Hin to grow their grapes and produce some of Thailand’s famous New Latitude Wines.

Located on the Gulf of Thailand, Hua Hin is where the King of Thailand’s summer palace, Klai Kang Won is found; Hua Hin became Thailand’s first ever beach resort when in 1920, a train line was laid that linked Bangkok to Hua Hin and King Rama VII established his summer retreat in the area. Royalty were perhaps drawn for the same reason as the tourists of today; the beauty of the countryside and the incredible swathes of white sandy beaches.

The main beach in Hua Hin stretches along 5km and offers a choice of experiences and activities for visitors to indulge and enjoy. There are regular cultural events that take advantage of the setting and these vastly surge the numbers; including a popular annual jazz festival. Just down the coast, Takiab Bay offers the chance for holiday makers to visit a hilltop Buddhist temple with a truly magnificent view.

Hua Hin is surrounded by magnificent mountains, bountiful seas and benefits from warm breezes and a wonderful climate; a location that means an abundance of fresh ingredients and seafood is available in the numerous restaurants and bustling markets. With a great choice of dining venues to choose from, a lively night market, some of the best golf in Thailand and a reputation as a favourite destination of Royalty, Hua Hin is a great tourist destination.
